Finding Purpose after 35

SUNDAYS AT 10:00 AM & 11:30 AM  •  INDIAN RIDGE MIDDLE SCHOOL, DAVIE FL

You’ve Checked Every Box.
Why Does It Still Feel Like Something’s Missing?

For professionals in their 30s and 40s who’ve built the career, raised the family, and earned the respect — and still wake up wondering if this is all there is.

The 4:30 AM Question

Here’s the scenario you probably know better than you’d like to admit: You’re lying awake sometime before dawn. The house is quiet. By every reasonable measure, your life is working. The business is growing. The kids are healthy. The mortgage is manageable. And yet there you are, staring at the ceiling with a low-level hum of unease you can’t quite name.

It’s not depression. It’s not a crisis. It’s something quieter and, honestly, harder to talk about — because when you’re this successful, nobody takes it seriously. You’re supposed to be grateful. You’ve earned this. So you close your eyes, tell yourself it’ll pass, and get up and do it all again.

But it doesn’t pass. It just gets louder.

What If the Restlessness Is Telling You Something True?

Here’s a different way to think about it: that feeling isn’t a flaw in your wiring. It’s a signal. You were built for more than the accumulation of achievements. There’s a dimension of life — of meaning, of genuine purpose — that doesn’t come from a promotion, a net worth milestone, or even a happy family. And somewhere in the back of your mind, you already know that.

Vibrant Church exists for people who are ready to ask the harder questions. Not a church of easy answers and inspirational phrases. A community of professionals, parents, and driven adults who are building lives that mean something — not just look good on paper.

This Church Was Built for You If…

  • You’re between 35 and 50, and the career ladder you’ve been climbing suddenly looks less interesting at the top than it did from the bottom.
  • You’ve stopped being impressed by your own resume and started wondering what you’re actually building it for.
  • You want your kids to have a foundation that isn’t just about grades, sports, and college applications — something that actually holds when life gets hard.
  • You’re skeptical of organized religion but open to the idea that faith might be more intellectually serious than you gave it credit for.
  • Your marriage is functional, maybe even good — but you can feel the distance that comes when two people are both successful and both exhausted.
  • You’re willing to walk into a room where real conversations happen, if someone will just stop pretending everything is fine.

One Sunday. No Pressure. Here’s Exactly What Happens.

Services at Vibrant Church run Sundays at 10:00 AM and 11:30 AM at Indian Ridge Middle School in Davie. The service is 75 minutes — not 90, not two hours. No one is going to put you on the spot, ask you to stand up as a visitor, or pass a donation plate six times.

Here’s what you will get: a message grounded in real thought, delivered without theatrics, about something that actually matters. Worship music that doesn’t feel like an amateur concert. A room full of people who look and live like you do.

Your kids go to their own program — Vibrant Kids covers infants through 5th grade — so you’re not wrestling a bored eight-year-old through the message. They’re in a clean, supervised, age-specific environment while you actually get to think.

Dress code: whatever you wore on Saturday. Park, grab a coffee, take a seat. That’s all you have to do.

A Note From Pastor Brandon

I spent years believing that if I just got to the next level — next position, next income, next achievement — I’d feel like I had arrived. What I found instead was that every arrival just revealed a new horizon. That’s not a personal failure. That’s a design feature.

You were built with a capacity for meaning that no career milestone can fill. That’s not a criticism of ambition — I love ambitious people, and this church is full of them. It’s just honest.

If you’re willing to spend 75 minutes on a Sunday asking a bigger question, we’d love to have you. Come with your doubts intact. Come skeptical. Just come.

Questions You’re Probably Asking

I haven’t been to church since I was a kid. Will I be lost?
No. We assume nothing. The messages are built to be engaging whether you’ve read the Bible cover to cover or never opened one. You won’t need a program or a theological dictionary to follow along.
Is this going to be emotionally manipulative?
No. We’re not in the business of manufacturing feelings. The goal is to think clearly about things that actually matter. If something moves you, great. If it doesn’t, that’s fine too. You’re not going to be guilted into anything.
What does the church actually believe?
We’re a Spirit-led, charismatic Christian church. We take the Bible seriously and interpret it with intellectual honesty. We believe Jesus is who he said he was, and that following him is the most important thing a person can do. We hold that view with conviction and without condescension.
Is my kid going to be safe?
Yes. Vibrant Kids is a fully supervised, background-checked, age-appropriate environment. Check-in takes about two minutes. We’ll have your child’s information and a pickup code before the service starts.
What if I come once and hate it?
Then you had a free Sunday morning experiment that didn’t pan out. No follow-up calls. No guilt. If it’s not for you, it’s not for you. But most people who ask this question end up coming back.

The Question Isn’t Going Anywhere.
Neither Are We.
